Sizing Information
Held gloves are sold in glove sizes rather than the normal “alpha” sizes you are used to in the US. But fear not, we offer a comprehensive guide to choosing a Held glove size for you:
I find Held gloves to be very consistent for fit from one model to the next and these are no exception. Choose the size you wear in Held, or use the sizing advice above to choose.

Our Two Cents
This new Wave glove from Held is a great style for the everyday street rider or commuter who gets into rain now and then. I think this one takes the prize for the most “premium” glove we offer of this type. Here are the significant things about this glove that makes it great:
This glove is made waterproof with Gore-Tex and everybody knows that is good stuff, but what’s better is the technology used in installing the Gore-Tex liner in this glove. It is actually bonded to the shell materials of the glove so that you don’t even know its there. Ordinary waterproof gloves are made where the liner is in between the shell and the glove lining and you’d sometimes feel that you were wrangling multiple layers of materials when you put your hand in, but not with these. They go right on and feel just like a non-waterproof glove.
Even though this glove has a lot of good protective features, it doesn’t feel or look like race gloves. The knuckles are covered with a layer of flexible impact protection foam and there are some raised areas on the backs of the fingers with the same material. Also, the palm has a large patch of abrasion resistant material in the palm that will add more protection against rubbing through and it will also promote sliding rather than grabbing which can reduce the risk of injuries as you put your hands out (the natural reaction).
The shell of the glove is a combination of leather and textile which makes the gloves lighter and easier to fold up into your pocket or other storage. The cuff is adjustable so you can probably use these under or over your jacket sleeve… whatever works best for you. The gloves are held firmly on your hands with a Velcro strap at the wrist that goes all the way around (this is typically found only on race gloves). One other nice feature I see is the visor wiper on the left index finger.
So if you want a glove with ALL the features you’d ever think of in a package that is suitable for touring and street use (and in the rain too), this here is the Cadillac. :: Paul, 04-07-16
