Sizing Information

Our staff tried on a few different sizes of the Fremantle jacket and we found a good fit in the size we usually wear in men’s clothing. We found the fit to be pretty snug in our normal size which would be ideal for wearing under motorcycling jackets. For that purpose ,we recommend you buy the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. If you think you’ll want to wear this jacket for casual use (not under a motorcycle jacket), then one size larger would be the best bet.

Our Two Cents

The Fremantle Jacket from REV’IT! Is an insulated mid layer jacket that is designed to keep you warm while riding in the cold weather seasons. A mid layer jacket like this one is great for those colder days as it fits over your base layers but under your protective motorcycle gear to keep you warm. Keep in mind mid layer jackets don’t offer abrasion resistance or impact protection so they should always be worn with a protective motorcycle jacket to ensure you are as safe as possible.

Looking at materials in the Fremantle Jacket, primary construction is polyester that features Primaloft® Gold thermal insulation, this would be one step up from the Primaloft® Silver that is found in the Solar 3 mid layer jacket from REV’IT! and is considered as the go-to insulation in the outdoor adventure segment. Much like other mid layer jackets from REV’IT! The Fremantle comes with an included transport bag and packs down quite nicely to take up minimal space. Honestly it’s pretty impressive how well it packs down considering how puffy and comfortable it is and with how much warmth it can provide. When packed down the Fremantle jacket makes a pack that is roughly nine by seven inches when holding a size XL.

Like most mid layer REV’IT! Jackets, the Fremantle looks great off of the bike too so it can be worn as a stand alone jacket when not riding or a a destination jacket when you get to the end of your ride. Speaking of looks, only one color is available, black, and there are reflective logos, one on the chest and one on the back to help with night time visibility. Aside from the insulation difference vs the Solar 3, the other major difference is that the Fremantle also has a hood, which can be useful when off the bike. There are also two slit pockets at the waist that are zipper enclosed as well as a chest pocket.

A few other features to note are the elasticated cuff material that allows for more comfort and better fit as well as elastic at the waist band to do the same. Overall the Fremantle jacket is very comfortable and can be a real asset for your cold weather riding adventures. With how small it packs down vs how well insulated and comfortable it is I can’t see a reason to not take one along for the ride, especially when it can easily benefit you both on and off the bike. :: Damir 5/1/24
