Our Two Cents
The Held Paxton offers retro styling in a good looking short cuff leather glove.
Wow, these Paxton gloves are very comfortable! The leather used is soft and pliable and has a great feel. The seams on the fingers are sewn to the outside(on the palm side) so those seams won’t rub your fingers when you grip the controls.
The styling of this glove feels retro to me. The Velcro strap that secures the glove on your hand has a faux metal snap to look like a much older style fastener, and the stripe design on the cuff gives the gloves an old-fashioned look too. And of course, the Blue/Beige/Burgundy color choice speaks for itself.
The gloves have a sturdy molded protector built in over the knuckles and there is an extra layer of leather over the heel area of the hand. Notice the deer leather in the palm is cut in a single piece so you don’t have seams. It really feels nice.
These gloves would be great for fair weather street riding and would look especially good with a retro/cafe ride. The back of the hand has some perforations to help them breathe. I’d avoid wet weather if I were you. This is too nice of a glove to muck up with water. :: Paul, 10-28-20
Note: We are pleased to offer Held gloves in the US again beginning late 2020. Held is a manufacturer of a full line of motorcycle apparel that is based in Germany. We’ve sold held gloves on and off for more than a decade. Held gloves are top quality and are made with VERY high quality materials. We find the gloves to offer a consistent fit which brand loyal fans enjoy. Held returns to the US market after exiting in 2019 due to distribution issues. Welcome back Held!
