Sizing Information

Several of us in the office tried these boots on for comparison to REV’IT!’s size chart(s) and also to compare to the fit of other boots. We found the size chart conversion provided by REV’IT to be accurate, so use the chart to choose a European size based on your US street shoe size.

As to overall fit, we find these boots are a C to D width, or “medium”. They fit a lot like Sidi boots which are on the more narrow end of the spectrum. Just an FYI, brands that fit wider are Alpinestars and TCX.

Ladies Conversion: REV’IT! doesn’t have a ladies conversion in their catalog, but we’ve always subtracted “1” from the men’s size to get the ladies equivalent which has always worked well.

Our Two Cents

The REV’IT! Ginza 3 shoes are the latest version of one of REV’IT!’s top selling street riding shoe.

The original Ginza debuted back in 2014, and the Ginza 2 didn’t make the trip to North America. These Ginza 3’s have a more refined finish than the original, which showed marks with just the touch of the hand. This new material holds up a little better but still has a classic lightly used look to it. The suede material will definitely show wear quickly and make each pair as unique as the rider wearing them.

I like what REV’IT! has done with the lace eyelets on their latest generation of shoes. At the top where you might normally see open eyelets on a high top hiking boot, they have kept them closed but the overall look stays the same at a glance. I like closed eyelets on riding shoes because it means the laces can’t get contorted in an accident and pop off, loosening the shoe immediately.

The REV’IT! Ginza 3 shoes pack the normal riding shoe armor into a stylish casual looking shoe. There are reinforcements in the side, ankles, heel, and toes as well as a heel cup, toe cap, and injected ankle cups. That’s a lot going on in a shoe that to the casual observer looks completely normal. The only real external giveaways of protection are the ankles, the reinforcement at the toe box for shifting, and the rear pull tab which has some reflective material. The soles have a unique tread pattern that should offer good traction on and off the bike.

These Ginza 3 shoes will perform well for the urban and commuter rider looking for a stylish shoe with some serious protection that will be comfortable all day. :: Mike, 07/29/2022
