Sizing Information
We’ve found that some REV’IT! sport gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands… much like Alpinestars. This glove is not so snug that I’d recommend you buy one size larger than normal, but certainly, if you are between sizes, then choosing the larger of the two should work. Hopefully, you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Velocity glove is a new summer style for 2020 that is part-leather and part-mesh. These gloves have significant armor over the knuckles and light padding in the heel area of the hand.
I just reviewed the new Fly 3 glove, which is an all-perforated leather glove, and this glove is similar except it is a combination of stretch mesh and leather. So if you want a lighter, stretchy glove for summer but one that has some armor, this might be the things for you. These are pegged as a “short cuff” style, but the cuff is longer than many and extends far enough to cover your wrist bone, which can be helpful when riding in the sunshine where your jacket sleeve doesn’t quite cover all the way to your hand, so no sunburn.
Most of the back of the hand on this glove is stretch mesh material which will allow air to flow freely through to your hand, so this glove will work best for summer use. The palm area is leather, and the material between the fingers is a stretch fabric. The gloves are an easy fit and feel great.
These gloves are about twenty bucks less than the FLY 3 gloves I mentioned because they are made of less expensive material, but the overall performance should be similar. :: Paul, 02-07-20
REVIT says: The short cuffed, race-fit Velocity gloves come with a bit of a dark side. This set of blacked-out, hard knuckle-equipped leather motorcycle hand protection also sport 3D air mesh in all the right places and the Connect Finger Tip fabric at the pointer finger. Short. Simple. To the point.
