Held Secret-Pro Gloves

We find Held gloves to be very consistent for fit from one model to the next and this particular glove model is no exception. Choose the size you wear in Held, or use the sizing advice above to choose.

This glove is available in long and short finger versions (check our size drop down for selections). Short finger sizes have a finger length approx 1/4” shorter than the standard glove and likewise the long version is about 1/4” longer than standard. So now you have size choices if your fingers are longer or shorter than average!

The Held Secret-Pro Gloves are a street and touring glove with a soft material protector over the knuckles and a comfortable sueded kangaroo palm. This glove is offered in both men’s and women’s size ranges and it comes in regular, short, and long finger options.

Many riders prefer a more “street” style without the molded plastic knuckle protector found on many well-armored gloves. Over the knuckle of this glove is a soft material called Sas-Tec and it’s the same material used in many brands for shoulder and elbow protection. The material is very soft and pliable in its normal state but protects by hardening on impact to absorb shock from a crash. Since the armor is soft and bendable, you’ll find this glove easy to stow away in a pocket or compartment because it folds easily. Leather covers the armor.

Like many race gloves, the palm is made of kangaroo hide, which is thin and gives a good “feel” for the controls. But kangaroo is abrasion resistant and also resists decay from sweat and prolonged use. It is considered a premium glove material. The heel of the hand has a good size pad covered in Superfabric, which will slide more readily than just leather if you hit the pavement with palms out, which acts to reduce injury from twisting (rather than sliding).

This glove has a Velcro adjustable strap at the wrist to hold the gloves securely on your hands in case of a fall. The gauntlet extends past the wrist and is adjustable in size with a larger Velcro strap. The gauntlet is soft and can be adjusted to work with just about any jacket sleeve size or style whether you wear the glove over or under the sleeve. :: Paul, 10-30-20
