The Klim induction jacket has been one of their best selling products since its introduction back around 2015. It continues to be the one to buy for hot summer weather. We worked with Klim to bring back this original style Induction with the features everyone asks for on the current models, waist adjustments, and a hidden passport pocket!
Most of the torso, front and back, is full mesh and so the wind will blow right through. There is even ample mesh on the undersides and backs of the arms. The shoulders and elbows and parts of the waist and sides of the torso are solid textile material to improve abrasion resistance and to give the jacket plenty of "structure". The shell is heavyweight and has a substantial feeling (as compared to many other brand's mesh jackets).
Klim gear has plenty of convenience features. This one has plenty of pockets.... two hand pockets in front, two inside pockets, a sleeve end pocket for emergency medical info, a chest pocket with its own little nifty waterproof pouch, and finally a hidden "passport" pocket that is in the waistline of the back of the jacket.
This jacket is easy to put on and take off as the "cut" is casual and easy to wear. The waist and sleeves have adjusters to fine-tune the fit. The sleeve adjusters help to snug down the sleeves and better hold the elbow armor in place. Speaking of armor, this jacket is fitted with a full set of D3O armor... elbows, shoulders, and back. D3O is VERY comfortable to wear and is CE-rated for impact protection. Have a look at our photo gallery. We've included a couple "night shots" to show off the extensive night reflectives on this jacket. There's plenty!
As I mentioned above, we worked with Klim to bring this jacket back to market in a limited run to meet the consumer demand for features that aren't available on the current Induction models. This style is similar to the original Klim Induction Jacket introduced around 2015. When they redesigned it in 2018 the main feedback we received from customers was that they missed the adjustability at the waist. With the somewhat boxy fit of Klim jackets, we agree that it's nice to be able to adjust that hem for a personalized fit. The other feature they moved away from is the "hidden" pocket on the interior of the jacket. Originally this was in just about all of Klim's gear as a storage option for important papers when on a trip through areas where you might potentially run into less than savory parties, a trip through South America for instance. When they updated the jacket, they took this feature out as they viewed the style as more for commuter riders and a little less for the long haul adventure touring riders. We're glad we are able to offer this limited run jacket with these great features again!
