Arai Warranty Info

All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in material and workmanship, and as serviceable only for the properly fitted first user for 5 years after purchase, but no more than 7 years from the date of manufacture. Based on the recommendations of the Snell Memorial Foundation www.smf.org it should be replaced within 5 years of first use.

Any Arai helmet or Arai helmet part found by Arai, or its authorized agents, to be defective in materials and/or workmanship within 5 years of the date of purchase, but no more than 7 years from the date of manufacture, will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Arai, free of charge to the original purchaser when returned freight prepaid to the address provided by Arai.

Any modification made by the user or third parties will render the warranty null and void. The warranty is also null and void if the Snell certification serial number has been removed, defaced or tampered with. Normal wear & tear to painted surfaces and abnormal treatment or abuse to the helmet interior are not covered under this warranty. Nor does this warranty cover chips, scratches, abrasions or other incidental damage to the helmet’s outer shell, painted surfaces or face shield caused by contact with another surface or object.

This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, and any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose created hereby, and limited in duration to the same duration as the expressed warranty herein. Arai shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. This card is for product registration, failure to complete and return it does not diminish your warranty rights. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Most recently, the date-of-manufacture can be found etched on the metal D-ring on the chin strap (as seen in the photo above).
